𝙁𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙉𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘽𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙙 𝙑𝙞𝙧𝙜𝙞𝙣 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙮

Today, September 8, we celebrate the birthday of the woman who would become the Mother of our Savior. Born to Saints Anne and Joachim, the birth of Our Blessed Mother brought immense joy to her parents and gave the world a reason to hope. It was a humble beginning for someone who would change the course of history forever.
Even as a young child, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐕𝐢𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐧 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞. God prepared her heart perfectly to eventually welcome Jesus into the world. Mother Mary did not seek wealth or earthly recognition; instead, she lived a life of quiet devotion, showing us that the greatest strength lies in trusting God completely.
Mama Mary’s gentle example continues to guide us today. In our busy lives as an academic community, her birthday is a beautiful reminder to be kind, humble, and always open to God's plan. 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐬 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐞, bringing her Son's light into our everyday studies and interactions.
