The Caregiving NC II Qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to enable him/her to journalize transactions, post transactions, prepare trial balance, prepare financial reports and review internal control system.

TRAINING OUTCOMES

What learners should be able to do

After completing the training, the learner should be able to demonstrate the following bookkeeping knowledge and workplace competencies.

✓ Record and classify business transactions accurately.
✓ Prepare and maintain journals and subsidiary ledgers.
✓ Provide care and support to children to the general ledger.
✓ Prepare a trial balance and identify accounting errors.
✓ Prepare and complete basic financial reports and accounting documents.
✓ Perform bank reconciliation and reconcile subsidiary records.
✓ Compute and record payroll-related transactions.
✓ Prepare and maintain accounts receivable and accounts payable records.
✓ Use accounting principles and procedures in recording financial transactions.
✓ Operate appropriate bookkeeping/accounting software and computer applications.
✓ Maintain organized, accurate, and confidential financial records.
✓ Apply workplace policies, ethical standards, and relevant laws and regulations.
✓ Demonstrate accuracy, reliability, attention to detail, and professionalism in bookkeeping tasks.
